“FRIGHTENED” interactive assignment

My interactive flash card word is “Frightened”. 

 

This first page is a selection page to be either a boy or a girl, once selected this is the character of your mouse. the word frightened is on the screen and when your mouse character moves towards the word, it tip toes

 

MOUSE OVER:

the word is broken up into syllables  

each syllable is enlarged when moused over

each syllable changes colour when moused over

the sound of each syllable is pronounced when moused over

 

CLICK DOWN:

the word changes into things children are scared of along with the sound of the scary thing

once the word changes into the scary thing the mouse (boy or girl) goes into a running movie

 

The is element of danger, fantasy and camaraderie in my interactive flash card.

 

DANGER:

There is an element of danger as the character tip toes towards the word, not knowing what the word will change into. The sense of uneasiness should evoke  each time your character comes close to the word. 

 

FANTASY;

There is also a sense of fantasy with the characters which the word changes into, for children, the many things that they are scared of are creations of the imagination ie; monsters.  

 

CAMARADERIE;

Through the process of selecting a character to represent the mouse, an instant fellowship is attached, the choice of selection to be either a boy or  a girl is in essence to represent the boy or girl who is playing with the flash card.
